Tom Morgan's Jazz and Blues
I am a Writer and Radio Producer. I produce and host the New Orleans Music Show, every Tuesday from 11 am - 2 pm and the Jazz Roots Show from 9am - 11am every Wednesday on WWOZ-FM, New Orleans.

My award winning first book
about early Jazz and Blues, From Cakewalks to Concert Halls:An Illustrated History of African-American Popular Music:From 1895-1930, was published by Elliott & Clark in 1992 & 1993.
I was an Associate Editor and major contributor for the African-American Culture Volume of the Dictionary of Twentieth Century Culture (Volume 5 - Manly 1996). I have published many articles about Jazz and Blues and have given many lectures about Jazz at the New Orleans Jazz National Park and at both the New Orleans Music Colloquim and the Satchmo Summerfest music symposium. A couple of my favorite articles available online are King Oliver and Clarence Williams, part of the Masters of Louisiana Music series by Offbeat Magazine. Here's some other information about what I do in New Orleans.
